Construction Labourer (NOC 75110)

Permanent employment, Full time (40 hours per week)

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.

Education: At least Highschool graduate or its equivalent

Job Description/Duties:

• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Mix, pour and spread materials as concrete and asphalt.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction site.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
• Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
• Remove rubbles and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment.
• Tend of feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps.
• Perform other activities at construction, as directed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Desire to work long shifts, usually 8 hours during the day
• Familiarity with hand tools such as power drills, hammers, and saws
• Ability to perform repetitive action using your hands, arms, wrists, fingers, legs, or other body parts
• Commitment to wearing protective safety gear for heat, noise, and prevention of injury on the job site.
• General knowledge of construction operations and procedures.
