Position: Whitehorse Warehouse Coordinator

Hours: Full Time

Wage: Salary based on $26.00 -$28.00

Reports To: Whitehorse Operations Manager

Duties:

• Assist and/or Manage the day to day operations of the Whitehorse Foodbank
• Manage the stocking, cleanliness, safety, and operations of the Whitehorse warehouse
• Assist and/or Manage the creation and implementation of special projects, whether it be for fundraising or a special aspect of the Food Bank Operations
• Assure the smooth operations during distribution days, and assure the health, safety and satisfaction of our staff, volunteers and clients are met in a consistent manner that aligns with our mission mandate and values.
• Work with and report to the Whitehorse Operations Manager
• Facilitate clear communication between all staff and volunteers
• Facilitate the construction and shipping of all orders departing from the Whitehorse Location.
• Proactively build and maintain volunteer relationships
• Track and Manage Inventory of Whitehorse Location
• Maintain general upkeep of the warehouse and front of house and regular office duties as required.
• Manage and facilitate all food pick-ups from local suppliers
• Assure all vehicles are in good working order
• Liaison between public and the Food Bank team
• Liaison between maintenance personal and the Food Bank
• Recruit and train warehouse, and driving volunteers
• Assure the safety and good working order of all warehouse equipment and personal using it
• Train all staff and relevant volunteers on warehouse heavy equipment
• Assure warehouse safety standards are upheld at all times.
• Any other duties as required

Qualifications:

• understanding of Microsoft Excel/Office and PowerPoint
• customer service and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license with clear driving abstract
• Able to lift 30lb +
• Strong Understanding of Shipping Logistics in the North
