Heavy Equipment Operator

Placer mine located 1.5hr drive from Dawson City. This is a camp position, which includes room and board. This is a seasonal position starting now until mid-October, annually.

Applicants must be willing to work both day and night shifts. Shifts are 12 hours.

Candidate should have experience in operating equipment such as, but not limited to: excavators, dozers, loaders, and articulated haul trucks. Preference will be given to candidates with experience. Class 5 drivers license or higher an asset.

Duties include: Daily maintenance of equipment, operating equipment, performing yard work and assisting mechanics.

Applicants must be in good physical shape, able to lift 75 pounds and able to work well with others in close quarters. The ideal candidate has good problem-solving skills, is self motivated and has the the ability to create a clean and safe working environment.

Compensation based on experience.
