Seamstress or Tailor

Men's World is seeking a full-time Seamstress or Tailor

Duties include:

• Repairs and alterations of various garments such as hemming, tapering, patching, zipper replacement, etc
• Operating industrial & domestic sewing machines
• Precisely cutting, and sewing clients' garments
• Ironing and steaming clothing

Additional duties may include:

• Taking clients' measurements for suit rentals
• Operation a cash registers, greeting customers, helping customers in store
• Marking and pinning customers' garments for alterations
• Answering the phone
• Light cleaning of the store space and staff areas
• Packing, folding, laundering of winter outerwear rental clothing

Qualifications:

• Ability to sew, alter and repair garments
• 1-2 years experience in sewing or tailoring
• experienced using industrial sewing machines would be an asset
• Formal education in sewing/tailoring is considered an asset, but not required
• Friendly demeanor with some retail or customer service experience

Wage dependent upon training and experience.
