Judicial Council Registrar
The Ta'an Kwäch’än Judicial Council is the judicial branch of the Government of the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council (TKC) and was established pursuant to section 11 of the TKC Constitution. The Judicial Council is composed of three judges, including one Elder, appointed by the TKC Elders Council.
The powers and responsibilities of the Judicial Council are described in the TKC Constitution and Elections Act. The official operations and business of the Judicial Council are set out in the Rules of Procedure for the Judicial Council. For reference, these documents are located at www.taan.ca
TKC is seeking Expressions of Interest from contractors for the position of Registrar for the Judicial Council. The Registrar provides full independent secretariat services such as: providing executive administrative support; acting as the first point of contact to the Judicial Council by the TKC, Ta'an Kwäch'än Citizens and the public; implementing the Judicial Council’s Rules of Procedure; organizing pre-hearing conferences, case management meetings and hearings; and acting as hearing officer.
