Cashier - (NOC 65100)

Location:2 McIntyre Dr, Whitehorse, YT Y1A 6J8

Hours: Full-Time (40 hrs/wk)

Salary: $18.51 - $20/hour depending on experience

Duration: Permanent

Duties & Responsibilities:
 Greet customers and answer questions regarding products.
 Use electronic or other cash register, optical price scanner or other equipment.
 Receive and process payments by cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit, wrap or
place merchandise in bags.
 Calculate total payments received at the end of work shift and reconcile with total sales.
 Label items with proper prices and make sure that any modifications in prices are readily
handled.
 Verify the age of customers while selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Requirements:
 Minimum Secondary school or equivalent.
 Must be able to work flexible shifts.
 Must be able to lift some light boxes.
 Previous experience preferred but not mandatory.
