Food and Beverage Server

Seasonal, Full-Time
Wage: $19.50/hour
Hours: 48 to 60 hours per week
Schedule: Early morning, morning, day, evening, and night shifts
Start Date: As soon as possible

Eagle Plains Hotel is hiring Food and Beverage Servers for the season. This is a full-time, on-site position in a remote Yukon location. We are looking for friendly, reliable, and service-focused team members who can provide a welcoming dining experience for guests in our restaurant and formal dining room.

Staff accommodation and room and board are provided.

What you will do

  • Greet guests, present menus, and answer questions about food and beverages
  • Describe menu items and daily specials
  • Make recommendations and advise on menu selections
  • Take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff
  • Serve food and beverages
  • Present bills and process payments by cash, credit, debit, travellers cheques, or room billing
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
  • Address customer concerns in a professional manner
  • Assist guests with special needs
  • Mix and serve alcoholic beverages when required, if legally eligible

Requirements

  • English language ability
  • Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of related experience
  • Smart Serve certification
  • Experience using a point-of-sale system is an asset
  • Willing to relocate
  • Able to work on site in a rural and remote location
