Housekeeper

Location: Eagle Plains, Yukon
Seasonal, Full-Time
Wage: $19.50/hour
Hours: 48 to 60 hours per week
Schedule: Early morning, morning, and day shifts
Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Start Date: As soon as possible

Eagle Plains Hotel is hiring Housekeepers for the season. This is a full-time, on-site position in a remote Yukon location. We are looking for dependable and hardworking individuals who take pride in keeping guest rooms and common areas clean, organized, and welcoming. Willing to relocate to a remote location.

Staff accommodation and room and board are provided.

What you will do

  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • Dust furniture
  • Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • Make beds and change sheets
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries
  • Stock linen closets
  • Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
  • Handle and report lost and found items
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Mend clothing and linens when required
  • Support overall housekeeping operations to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the property

Requirements

  • English language ability
  • Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of related experience
  • Willing to relocate
  • Able to work on site in a rural and remote location
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the role
