Location: Eagle Plains, Yukon – KM 371 Dempster Highway
Seasonal, Full-Time
Wage: $19.50/hour
Hours: 48 to 60 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible

Eagle Plains Hotel is seeking a dependable and organized Cook to join our team in a remote and unique Yukon setting. This is a seasonal full-time position based on site at our hotel, restaurant, and bar operation on the Dempster Highway. Willing to relocate to a remote location

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, can maintain quality and consistency, and works well as part of a team. Staff accommodation and room and board are provided.

What you will do

• Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed
• Prepare dishes for guests with food allergies or intolerances
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Support efficient daily kitchen operations and maintain food safety standards

Requirements

• English language ability
• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• 1 year to less than 2 years of related experience
• Safe Food Handling certificate preferred
• Able to work on site in a rural and remote location
• Comfortable working mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
