Fox Exploration Ltd. is accepting applications for a Logging Geologist to work at Sitka Gold Corp.'s exciting RC Gold Project near Dawson City, Yukon. Fox Exploration provides consulting services to companies in the mining and mineral resource industry. Job Overview
Reporting to the Project Geologist on site, the Logging Geologist will be responsible for carrying out a variety of geological tasks including geological logging of drill core, the input of drill hole data into geological software, checking on drill rigs and their drilling status and working closely with other geological team members in the overall processing and sampling of diamond drill core at an exploration camp on a rotational basis of approximately 4 weeks on site and 2 weeks of leave with some flexibility offered. This position reports directly to the Senior Project Geologist. Accommodations at camp, meals, and transportation to and from the project site will be provided.
Responsibilities
Job duties of the Logging Geologist will include but are not limited to the following:

• Logging of drill core and subsequent data entry
• Overseeing geotechnical logging, sampling and processing of diamond drill core
• Organizing samples for shipment to the analytical lab
• Tracking and cataloguing drill core and samples
• Other geology department work suitable to the employee's skills and experience
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Geology or Earth Sciences
- Previous experience logging diamond drill core
- Experience with GeoSpark or other geological logging or modelling software is an asset
- Physically fit to perform the duties required for the position including standing for long periods of time and lifting core boxes
- Self-motivated, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to work on a remote site and on a rotational schedule
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
