Job Description
We are looking for a person to work in our Shop in Whitehorse, Yukon, with some field work. Apprentice Mechanic in either Heavy Duty, Automotive, with a strong understanding of Hydraulics and Electrical, We design and build field ready units for the Helicopter portable Drilling world, Also need to be okay with various other tasks, running parts, sweeping the floor , maintaining the yard and shop in a clean and tidy fashion. Basically a lot of everything. A willingness to show up and work hard and learn. Pretty basic expectations
Permanent, Full Time
$30 - $50 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus overtime

Compensation

Shop Mechanic Qualifications:
- Experience towards Heavy-Duty Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman or automotive/commercial transport ticket an asset
- Experience with light trucks, hydraulics, rotary air compressors, small engine repair an asset
- Electrical knowledge and general line repair experience an asset
- PMVI Inspectors license an asset
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Must be able to travel for occasional field work
- Valid Class 5 Drivers’ License required, Class 3/1 preferred
