Kluane Energy LP is seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of a cashier and cook position at the Kluane Energy Café. This position will report to the Store Manager.

Located on the Alaska Highway in the village of Burwash Landing, the Kluane Energy Café serves customers with a menu of freshly prepared food items, a grocery store, and features an on-site cardlock fuel station.

The Ideal candidate will have experience as a cashier as well as in a kitchen and/or food service role and would be willing to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as required. Experience in food preparation and valid food safety certification is desirable.

The Cashier will be required to perform duties in the kitchen as well as the store and will include but not limited to:

• Assists Store Manager with providing a strong leadership presence in the Cafe, while ensuring that all customers receive good service and quality meals.
• Work with the Store Manager and other staff to ensure that all areas of the restaurant/store run smoothly
• Be aware operationally of all activities of the kitchen and store.
• Prepare meat, soups, stocks, broths, gravies, sauces, etc. when needed.
• Stock and face shelves and coolers.
• Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in kitchen area.
• Maintaining schedules for rotation of food inventories to prevent spoilage in kitchen and store.

Wages will be commensurate with experience. This position will remain posted until filled.
