Yukon Council on Aging (YCOA) is Looking for Volunteers
Sourdough Chronicle Newletter Editor
Task description: YCOA is a not for profit organization. One of the core activities is the publishing a quarterly newsletter - Sourdough Chronicle. The newsletter provides information on pending issues, activitism and general interest articles.
The editor will compile, edit, and produce the text for the quarterly newsletter. Published June, September, December and March.
- Collect potential information /article for the newsletter.
- Review submissions for publication and selecting material.
- Edit submission for elements of style, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Skills needed: YCOA is looking for a self starter, able to work to deadlines and has strong writing skills
Time commitment: 20 hours quarterly.
Incentive for the volunteer: free access for learning for life session scheduled to start fall of 2017. free membership to Yukon Council on Aging.
Staff position that will supervise the volunteer: YCOA Board of Directors.
