Position: Leaders, Summer Daycamp

Department: Recreation Services

Job Type: Temporary Full Time - 40 hrs/week

From June 5 to September 1, 2017

Salary rates are set as follows:

$15.63 per hour upon completion of 1st year of post-secondary

$16.72 per hour upon completion of 2nd year

$17.92 per hour upon completion of 3rd year

$19.14 per hour upon completion of 4th year or higher

2017 wages will be indexed based on Federal Student wage levels. New wages will be communicated as soon as they are finalized.

Under the direction of the Summer Camp Coordinator and working with a dynamic team, the incumbent monitors, facilitates, and supports a diverse range of programs including arts, crafts and recreational activities for various age groups. If you have the skills, experience and passion we want to hear from you.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in recreation or related field.
  • 1 year previous experience in child care, day camp or recreational environment dealing with children/youth.
  • RCMP Vulnerable Sector check.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR, Level C.
  • Class 5 Drivers’ License.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
